At Philadelphia Gardens Nature Group, a main priority is the privacy of visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected by ourselves and our website.

Google analytics and cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help us analyse how visitors interact with our site.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website typically includes:

• The pages you visit on our site and how long you spend on them
• The type of browser, device, and operating system you use
• The website or search engine that directed you to our group's page
We use this data solely to understand community interest, see which resources or event details are most popular, and improve our website experience. We do not collect or track personal identifiers like your name or physical address through Google Analytics.
Your choices and opting out
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer.
Additionally, you can completely prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites by downloading and installing the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
General privacy
We will never ask for your personal information other than name and emergency contact (see below) if you attend one of our work days.
Medical privacy
If you attend any of our work days we are obliged to document your name, an emergency contact number and any medical condition that we need to be aware of, eg., epilepsy or allergies to insect stings and bites, for the following reasons:
If there is an emergency we need to get hold of your emergency contact
If you have a serious allergy, eg., bites or stings we need to know if you have any necessary medication with you.
If you have epilepsy we need to know if you carry an epipen.
Newsletter
If you sign up to our newsletter we will only ask for your first/last name and email. Our newsletter is powered my MailChimp and is fully GDPR compatible. Your data is held securely inside MailChimp and will be only be used to send out newsletters approximately monthly. It will not be used for anything else. You will always have the option to unsubscribe.
Photography
During work days we need to document our work as a community group and for the publicity of the group. Photography may appear on our website, newsletters and social media. If you do not wish to be in a photograph you will be asked at the beginning of a session and we will respect your wishes. If you appear as a consequence in a photo, eg., in the background, you have the option to ask us not to use it or to blur/remove you from the photo.
We will not actively take photos of minors unless specifically asked by a parent, guardian or teacher.
